Fram Oslo is a Norwegian furniture and interior design company founded to pay tribute to Norwegian design heritage. Their products are quality products with a modern and sustainable signature lasting for generations. They are inspired by Norway’s stunning natural wonders, how function plays a vital role in design and last but not least by the beauty and purity of Norwegian local materials.
Their name, Fram Oslo, is evidence of their love for Norway. Fram means forward and is the name of history’s most famous polar ship. The polar vessel was used in expeditions of the Arctic and Antarctic regions by the Norwegian explorers Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen between 1893 and 1912. Roald Amundsen was the first man to reach the South Pole. Like great explorers moved the world forward, their mission is to bring Norwegian design heritage into more homes around the world.
New Norwegian Design
In Norwegian history Fram is a name linked to curiosity and adventure. Through contemporary Norwegian design Fram Oslo wishes to continue this story. With a number of distinguished designers on board, Fram Oslo continues the Norwegian design journey by producing sustainable products adapted to your daily needs, where functionality plays a significant role.
Fram Oslo is matching designers with production opportunities and provides support for new designers and producers to focus on what they do best. They work with producers that have expert knowledge in their field and the experience to bring new designs to market.
Norway has a long tradition of social responsibility and charitable work. Through design Fram Oslo donates 10% of its profit to UNICEF for its work for children. They also have a responsibility for how production effects the environment and seek sustainability in each step of their journey.
